Problem with car starting

Alright i've been going through this all day long and have been trying to fix it myself but i'm done and want to figure it out for sure. I have a mechman 250a alt and a stock batt up front, nothing in the back, i recently (about a week ago) installed 2 e-12's and an apsm1500. It's been working fine until today. Then today when i went to start my car it started, i drove to the gas station, parked, went in, came out, car wouldn't start, acted like the battery wasn't even connected, no lights on no nothing. Then i tried turning it over again, sounded like the battery was dead with the clicking sound.

Then, me being me, i pulled the socket out of my car and unhooked my amp power wire from the batt and left it unhooked. Car started fine and voltmeter read normal, just like before.

After that i went home and hooked up the power wire again, kept the hood of my car up and it started. After that i turned the car off after about 2 minutes of revving it to try and charge the batt, even though my volt meter read normal. I turned the car off, then tried turning it back on, sounded like a dead battery again. So i unhook the battery, then unhook the subs from the amp, car still didn't start. Then i unhooked my amp, car started right up again, voltage read normal. Put amp back on with no subs on it, still no start.

I'm trying my best to hope i don't have to grab a new battery, but i think that's the case , what else could be the case????

Edit: the only thing that makes me think it could be something other than a bad batt is because the car acts completely normal when there's no amp hooked up.

Sounds like you have a bad connection going to your electrical panel from the battery, check and make sure it isn't making and breaking contact with that wire at the battery post.

I use these on my battery and have lugs attached to the wire so they can be bolted down.

If you have a top post battery then these things make life a ton better and the connection is far superior to the regular posts that come stock.

Yeah I've done the big 3, and idk about the bad connection because the battery starts everytime with no hesitation without the amp's power wire, but I am about to grab a set of those posts.

Edit: I guess what I'm saying is how could 1 wire which isn't required to start the car keep the car from starting by not even touching or moving the wires required to start it?

Sometimes the connection just get lost and once you move the post it will let it connect and start the car.

Top post batteries are notorious for doing that.

EDIT: Corrosion sets in and you'll lose connection sometimes and a simple cleaning is all that is needed.

Battery is roughly 2 years old so it's not that old, and I keep the battery pretty free of corrosion most of the time, the only place i don't clean is like under the actual battery post. And I see what you're saying with connections coming loose but all of them seem pretty damn good, but maybe I've just been lucky with the amp unhooked and it starting everytime, who knows lol

If the car starts fine with the amp unhooked either there's something wrong with the amp or the connection between the power wire and battery terminal

My original thought was something was wrong with the amp, but on the few occasions the car starts with it all hooked up, the amp works fine. Maybe I'll keep the power wire hooked up, but unhook it from the amp and see what happens

That's a good idea that way you can eliminate the power wire as the problem. If it's possible try hooking up the amp in another car and see what happens. Just a shot in the dark but do you have the remote+ on your amp hooked up to a 12v switched source (like your amp turns on when you turn your key to the on position) instead of remote out on a deck?
