What ever happened to Alpha damp?

Recommended Posts

I remember talking to a Rep over emails once, and he said that Alpha damp may not be in stock for ever, I see it is no longer availible and I have been living under a rock. How long ago was it taken off the site, and any plans for it?

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

I asked Jon the same thing. They are their own company and don't have the affiliation with Second Skin. I remember when Jon did all those free samples with the new black foil Damp pro, and the Alpha damp. They have their own website I believe now :)

We stopped carrying and selling Alpha Damp several months back.

Reason being, after further testing we found that Damplifier Pro performed on par with Alpha in most cases and installs.

Combined with the fact that the Damplifier Pro is easier to install because of it's thinner constraint layer, the bossman (Ken) made the decision to stop carrying it.

Simply put, it was redundant within our product line.
