Joe X
So here is a suggestion for use on rated power: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 33 Hz Vb = 4.5 ft^3 External Height = 16 in External Width = 37 in External Depth = 24 in Port Width = 5 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: 2x Front = 16 x 14 1/2 2x Front Internal = 14 1/2 x 14 1/2 Back = 37 x 14 1/2 Left & Right Sides: 22 1/2 x 14 1/2 Top & Bottom = 37 x 24 Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts: 2 x Front to Back = 20 x 14 1/2 2 x Extension = 5 1/16 x 14 1/2 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): - The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the ones inside the port, if you want to do those let me know. - All trunk boxes built outside the car need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions. - The port needs 5" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation. - Setting your amp's subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested. Joe X
I have seen boxes perform great with them and without them, the fact is that if they are made improperly they can ruin the whole box. Ideally the should improve SQ and performance a bit.
