AZaudio Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Trying to come up with a box design for a Digital Designs 9512 1.5ohm wired to .75 on an Audioque aq2200. 29" Length X 40" Width X 29" Height is the space I have to work with. I had something in mind like 2.5cu tuned to 32hz, but other suggestions are appreciated. Also I do not have an idea of port size yet. [*]DC Neo 15" [*]Digital Designs M3a [*]Audioque Super Tweets [*]SoundQubed 6.5" Mids [*]All Knukonceptz 1/0 w/ Big 3 [*]XS Power D6500 [*]Pioneer DEH-80PRS
Joe X Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 So here is a suggestion if this is for Your SUV, this sub behave nice on that tuning: >> Modded to 3 cubes net on OPs request << Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 36 Hz Vb = 3 ft^3 External Height = 17 in External Width = 35.5 in External Depth = 16 in Port Width = 3 1/4 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: 2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 35 1/2 x 16 Left & Right Sides = Side 1 = 14 1/2 x 14 3/4 Side 2 = 15 1/4 x 14 3/4 Front = 31 1/2 x 14 3/4 Back = 35 1/2 x 14 3/4 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 11 1/4 x 14 3/4 Extension = 9 7/8 x 14 3/4 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): Any changes let me know.

AZaudio Posted December 23, 2012 Author Report Posted December 23, 2012 See I was thinking bigger but I hadn't read anything about going higher than 2.5 cubes. Thanks Joe!! Any Ideas about going 3 cubes? [*]DC Neo 15" [*]Digital Designs M3a [*]Audioque Super Tweets [*]SoundQubed 6.5" Mids [*]All Knukonceptz 1/0 w/ Big 3 [*]XS Power D6500 [*]Pioneer DEH-80PRS
Joe X Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 You can do 2.75 cubes without an issue. But I just can change the above to what you want.
AZaudio Posted December 23, 2012 Author Report Posted December 23, 2012 Thanks for your time Joe. I'm gonna go with Slammin on this because I know he and Bumb4life have played around with a few DD subs. If you could make a 3 cube design, that would be awesome! [*]DC Neo 15" [*]Digital Designs M3a [*]Audioque Super Tweets [*]SoundQubed 6.5" Mids [*]All Knukonceptz 1/0 w/ Big 3 [*]XS Power D6500 [*]Pioneer DEH-80PRS
Joe X Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Done, if you want to do port optimizations I'll post some stuff on that.
SlamminBeats Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 go for 45 sq inches of port too. 32 hz is way to low. If you want low lows tune to 34-36 at the lowest. If you want to still put up some decent numbers do 37-40
AZaudio Posted December 24, 2012 Author Report Posted December 24, 2012 Thanks for the advice Slammin, noted. [*]DC Neo 15" [*]Digital Designs M3a [*]Audioque Super Tweets [*]SoundQubed 6.5" Mids [*]All Knukonceptz 1/0 w/ Big 3 [*]XS Power D6500 [*]Pioneer DEH-80PRS
