john253a Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 So can anybody else confirm this? I'm just a little confused with getting two different answers... I know I can't go closer than 10" from the back wall on a 3 common port, so does that mean I can go up to 5" deep, each side, from the back wall, with a 2 common port, which is equivalent to 10"? the answer is yes even torres comforms this change the common wall to 2 and then to 3, and it will change in the "port bends" it will say 'yes' on 3 and then 'no' on 2
Skrilla Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 Okay, I see that in Torres now. Thanks. I think this will be my final design I'll go with: 2 HDC3 18's AQ2200D
john253a Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 i like to do the L1 when a double baffle is used like this
Skrilla Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 Okay thanks for the tip... Do you think it would sound better with the subs firing forward instead of up? Like this: Maybe I'll start a poll to see what people think between the two. 2 HDC3 18's AQ2200D
john253a Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 numbers is anyone guess but that will come down to how close the seat is to box, and if you have a console weather you can port fwd sub up, or fwd/fwd
Skrilla Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 Well the top of the box will be 6" away from the seats, and the bottom of the box will be 14" away. The center console is 15" tall and is also 14" away from the box. 2 HDC3 18's AQ2200D
