kingkongthumpin Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Okay I figured how to run my D2 subs at a 2 ohm load! But this only works on a mono amp "I think" I have a 2 channel amp can I just run my wire to the amp and just bridge it cause after you wire them to a 2 ohm load u end up with 2 single wires. So can I just run both subs of one channel or can I bridge it and use both channels? Take the hot and run it to one channel and the negative and run it to the other?
Skullz Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 You won't be able to use your 2ch amp unless it is capable of running 2 ohm bridged, which there are very few made capable of running that low an impedance. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
kingkongthumpin Posted December 31, 2012 Author Report Posted December 31, 2012 Its a hifonics hfi 2500! Can I just run it off one channel then
Noel989 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 That a 1 channel/mono amp All mono amps have 2 + and 2 - terminals Their connected internally together so just pick one set and hook it Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/
Skullz Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 That's a mono amp, so you'll be fine connecting it @2 ohm. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
kingkongthumpin Posted December 31, 2012 Author Report Posted December 31, 2012 O thank you! You was a lot of help! So I can just hook the negative wire into one of the slots and the positive wire wire into the other slot and it should work! So I don't have to worry about the other negative and positive terminal slots?
Noel989 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Its good I had the same amp wired at 2 ohms too Using just one of the sets Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/

Noel989 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 It sounded good I had the gain low so my light wouldn't dim How your electric? I had stock electrical Your definantly going to have to upgrade your electric I had it hooked to an 18" sub check my buildlog link in sig it would flex a lil nothing huge but I wouldn't expect much on stock electrical Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/
