Sound deadening advice

Ok, so I got my new subs set up and they knock like hell but.. My car is rattling all over the f****** place, and it pisses me off because I know the bass is sooo crispy and clear but all the rattling really messes things up... I have a 96 camaro hatchback... So I hop on ebay looking for sound deadening material, and I just got done spending a nice piece of change on the system so I could only come up with 50sq ft. of fat mat.. I have never installed this, but i've done some research and see that installation isn't difficult, just a good amount of work. No problem.. What I do not know is which areas I should cover. So I'm asking you guys for your advice, which areas will most increase sound quality? The hatch is the real problem area when it comes to rattling, so I know im covering that up. Everywhere else pretty much rattles the same amount, so should I move on to the doors next? The headliner? Floor pans? You get it.. Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance.

The areas that have the most noticeable chance/difference once sound deadened are the doors, hands down.

After that it would be areas like the trunk/trunk lid, hatch, and roof/headliner area.

The floor typically has enough material on it (between factory installed deadener and carpeting) that you wont notice a huge difference unless you are trying to reduce road noise and whatnot.

Cool man, thanks for the good answer. I'll start on the doors, hit the trunk and hatch lid, then throw whatever is left if any up on the headliner.. So why is it that the doors are the most effective area to sound deaden?

You could turn the subs down for free...just throwing that out there. Do you have subs for performance or so that evryone hears you coming down the street? Sound deadening should have been the first thing you did after you disconnected the nigative battery cable. Imagine trying to put a new tire on a new wheel that is on the car. You should have put the tires on before you mounted the wheel.
