baaudio
Basically as the title says, I have a woofer that was poorly reconed. Surround was glued with some poor epoxy and I was able to pull it up and hardly damage the surround. I'm wondering if there's a way to get the spiders off without cutting them out. Not worried about the dust cap. Colin - STAPUFT
Good Question. I am curious myself. What about something like this: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=340-640 CA Glue Debonder. I see that it is supposed to work, but does anyone have any experience with it? 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. SnowDrifter
Can you fit a flathead screwdriver in there and pry it up? I also wonder if applying a glue dissolver or similar might compromise the spiders themselves or the glue that bonds them together ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
SnowDrifter
If the glue is that weak: could you take a couple car batteries wired in series and do something like a pop test on steroids? Might be enough to rip the spiders up off the landing ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
