Skullz Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Take a pair of mids and wire them in parallel and that will drop them down to 4 ohms and run a pair per channel on your amp providing it is a 4 channel amp. If you haven't purchased an amp yet then i would get a big 2 channel amp and run those at 2 ohm. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Wizzy Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 I have a 4 channel hifonics zxi6404. And what do i do with the tweeters?
Skullz Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Just take a pair and wire them in parallel to get a 4 ohm load and run those to each channel on the left and right and you'll be set. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
tlsrcs Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 I'll make a drawing and post the picture in about an hour or so
tlsrcs Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 K here it is. So this is for one door. This way you can use a cross over for the tweets and run all channels at 2ohms . I like this way just because you can use cross overs on all the channels to achieve the desires highs on the tweets and lows on the mids. Let me know if I messed anything up.
Wizzy Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 Hey thanks tlsrcs i thought about that last night and its a good idea i will use 2 channels of the amp on each door and i think it will sound better this way.
