Ratski Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 hi im looking into building a blow thru box for my 02 tacoma double cab, i want to run 2- 15s AA havoc with a AQ2200. now here lies the problem from the bottom of my bed to the top of bed rail i have 15.5" so my question is if i build the box so that the sub sit at a slant or angle how much will that effect sound and performance if so at all? side note has anyone ever built a weather proof box like this? i dont want a bed cover. any help is good help thank you
dolarbilz Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 You will be fine with angles..long as box properly designed.as for covering the box.i like resin and matte to seal it real good then paint it.some due bedliner.i tried it once didnt care for it.a year later or so it flaked

Ratski Posted January 15, 2013 Author Report Posted January 15, 2013 @miguels-yes i have planned multiple setups in my head ha. i thought 3 -12's with a aq3500 but i have been down the 10', 12's road and i have my mind set on a pair of 15's ha idk why. @dolarbilz- if the angle of the sub doesnt matter then i think if i spec my box right it should work, my idea is to build a box with the subs totally enclosed with a sealed access panel to have access to the subs, sealed ports into the cab and have the box glassed and painted to match my truck.

dolarbilz Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Im not a pro on box design.hit up joex on here. I would do two havoc 15.. maybe 4th order blow through would work.
