Mobileaudio25 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 20in deep 15.5in tall 40in wide port is 12.5 in deep a 4in port lenght L2 is attatched to the side (smooth part) of that 12.5 in deep port? woofer displacement is .26? .75 in wood only 1 L shaped port no bracing I want to make sure i'm building the correct box. its built, but i think the re audio box calc screwed me.... thanks

Mobileaudio25 Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 im not looking for a box design, my box is built im just looking for the cubic ft of this box and the frequency it is tuned at right now. im going to see if i can made adjustments to the box because there is a more port surface area than there should be. im running 2 woofers with a total displacement of .26 cubes. thanks, kyle

Edit: the height at least >.> But I plugged stuff into Torres and used 14 high, 4.75 wide, and 26 deep for a 34hz tuning at 4.39 cubes. Mobileaudio25 Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 sorry for the confusion.... im 20 in deep, 15.5 in tall, 40in wide. the port is 6 inches wide and there is a total 17.75 inches of port length. i know that i have too much surface area per cube for my speakers. im trying to figure out how much i need to shim my port to have a healthy box and have the right amount of port surface area per cube. and yes im running a pair of dd3512's..... I THINK if i do a 1 in shim on the port i will be around 15 sq in of port (SA) and tuned around 39-40hz..... any ideas? port is 14 inches tall by 6 inches wide
