I purchased my first system before I had my first car. I had 2 ma audio 10s on an old school kicker zr240 amp... Then I became a bass head... Here was my car when I bought it from my buddy for $600 I had it painted the same color and added some flake in the paint and put some 20 in Dayton's on it... I wasn't happy and did a complete do over... I did all Of the interior myself and wired up my whole system. Also put some deep dish 22's and a 2 inch lift kit. Seats are made of neoprene. The whole interior used to be burgundy red, but as you can see I fixed the original hideous interior... I built a box for my DD3512's picked up 2 xs power batteries and a 180 amp alt. with 1/0 wire to the trunk. I'm running a pioneer head unit, Boston acoustic components, and one hifonics 1200.1D on each sub. With my highs amp I'm running about 2500 watts rms in the vehicle.. Here is the box installed into the car. It hit harder firing toward the cab so I flipped it around after this pic.. my box is bolted down and chained down in 4 places. I even have the trunk floor chained to the top of the trunk with padlocks tying the chains together for extra security. Running glass break sensors, added power locks, shaved the door handles, alarm backup batter, and trunk/hood triggers as well and another siren. Built a custom 6 fan amp rack to keep the amps cool even though they don't get hot... Now I'm planning on modding my back seat and the rear deck so that everything folds down and I'm going to seal it off firing forward. Everything came together with this car just about the way I wanted it too. Opinions/comments good/bad are welcome, thanks for taking a look ! My other beauty I built this year .... Added 2 MTX 12s on the same old school kicker amp I used to run and some more Boston acoustic highs...

If I could do a 144 I'd be super happy. I'm tuned around 38-39 hz so hopefully my 4800 watts can do some damage! Especially on I seal it off and have it firing forward !

Im not a fan of the rims but those seats look super clean and thats a cool Malibu. Props on your setup..I would be surprised if you couldnt get to 144 now with 2k and two DD 3512's. The box with the Optis is a dual ported box that I paid to have built before I knew how to build boxes... I built the second one and it's 4.5 cubic feet at 38 hz. It sounds a lot better than the original box. I even blew the center bracing out of it..... But yeah, I'm in the process of firing it forward and sealing it off. Also going to mod the seats so they fold down.... Just posting what I have up so far !
Mobileaudio25 Posted January 18, 2013 Author Report Posted January 18, 2013 And no the chains do not rattle ! The box is bolted down and the chains are mounted tight so if they move at all it's very Minimal... Also nothing you could hear inside the cab.
