Polar-bass
Hi I'm planning to get four of these affordable AQ babies. The plan is a flat wall. i've got 9kw rms to run them with. So far my planned net volume is approx. 17 cubic feet. However the baffle area is limited (a clam would be a bit ambitious for me), and so is port area. How many sq inches would this setup require pr cubic foot? Right now Im looking at 11square inches pr cubic foot, and a total port area of 192 square inches. What to do? Guest
you need 16 square inches per cube. 11 is nowhere near enough.
Polar-bass
I see. And the reason for this is that my 11 would create a nasty storm of blowing noises or what?
Socky
it will have port noise, and you will be wanting more, if you had more port area you will notice a huge different in output. AMI CUSTOMS
To put it simply you will think, "man that is all 4 15s will do? I expected more". Alot more port or go down to 3 15s so you have the correct amount of cubes and port area.
