SnowDrifter Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Just thought of a cool idea. CVT driven alternator - Keeping it at at constant 6000rpm or so. Max power at idle, and the ability to use a larger alt pulley to reduce/eliminate belt slippage. And less of a chance of over-spinning the alt in high rpm applications ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Chris Hammer Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Seems liek a good idea. Maybe a kit that replaces the standard alt pully and relocates it so you can retrofit older engines.
