crispy_chick3n
Ok so i need some help from someone knowledgable. To keep a long story short the pcm on the vehicle (1999 yukon) is looking for a signal from the crank position sensor, and the motor i have doesnt have one. (motor is a 5.7l 350 from a 1990 firebird) the motor does have a timing slot in the harmonic balancer. What i was wondering was if i could make a device that would be able to read the timing mark and send the signal as the crank sensor. The timing mark i am refering to is a physical groove in the harmonic balancer. Any ideas? Gingeriffik
What i have seen people do, is weld the reluctor ring to the front of the harmonic dampner. then they rig the crank sencsor to the lower right side of the block to read the reliuctor out front. Are you running a distributor? If so then no biggie, but if not, you need that timming reference. <>< Collosians 2:13-14, Philippians 4:13, 1 John 4:7-10 2 - JBL W15Gti 2 - JBL BP1200.1 Knu 1/0 Wiring Kenwood KIV-BT901 Kenwood/Garmin Nav.
