2200d repair

Alright, so I let my buddy borrow my amp (which i found out was a mistake) because he called me and said it stopped working. I tried hooking it to my car again and flames came out of the side near the power cable. Well, i took it to a shop and they say its the power supply that is shot now. So my question is, is it worth it to get it repaired, or am i going to be better off buying a new amp?

Yeah i know now it was a huge mistake, and ive already got him paying me back for it, so thats taken care of. And the reason i let him borrow it is because i unhooked all my wiring so i could upgrade it at a later point in time, so I had the amp out at the time as well.
