So here is a suggestion based on the dims you give:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 35 Hz

Vb = 2.5 ft^3

External Height = 15.5 in

External Width = 33 in

External Depth = 16.5 in

Port Width = 3 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 33 x 15 1/2

Left & Right Sides = 14 1/4 x 14

Top & Bottom = 33 x 14 1/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 11 1/4 x 14

Extension = 13 x 14

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

Yeah i would love to hear from someone who has alot of experience with them. Wondering what i should tune it to with the power i will be giving it.. I want it to get low, but don't want to sacrifice my highs for it.

how low is low for you? some may consider 28hz low while others may consider 20hz low, like I said before and i'll say it again, tune to 36-38hz if you don't wanna sacrifice the subs high end output.

So you think i would be good tuning it to 35 using Joe X's specs?

HDC3 wants 16-18 sq inches of port per cube regardless of power or design. That is min numbers, you can go with more port, but depends on power and coil selection. Alum coil will handle 3k + daily, I have proven it personally in several AQ HDC3 builds. As others have said no sealed on AQ woofers, suspension is way to stiff to warrent good output in a sealed enclosure unless the enclosure was massive. As reference like 4 cubes sealed for a 15. But will be as much as 3 db louder in same size box but ported with proper port area. Hope that helps.

Also HDC3 like pretty high tuning for high SPL output. Lowest tuning I would recommend without killing the output is gonna be 35 hz. They start get nasty te closer you get to 40 hz tuning for good metering numbers.
