T.A.G. Audio
So I do all of my own installs and everything but one thing that I do not seem 100% comfortable with is doing the big 3. My local audio shop said they would do it in 4 gauge for 75 bucks and I said I wanted 0 gauge and they said it would be 125 and that it was pretty unnecessary though. Shold I do it in 0 or 4? 4 is a lot cheaper. 03 Ford f150 2 Sa8 v2s Ap 1800d... Carbon
Facepalm. I honestly feel like youve posted about this before. not 100% tho. Always do the big 3-5 in 0 Gauge. 4 gauge would be pointless, as far as the cost. $75 for a few feet of 4 gauge is the biggest rip off ive ever heard of. Get some OFC 0 Gauge and do it yourself man, if your not confer table than you can get a kit from CE. They are a simple bolt on solution. The big three is very simple to do: batt (-) to chassis batt (+) to alternator batt (-) to engine block batt (-) to trans Basically your just improving current flow throughout the vehicle. 1) Reduced dimming and smaller voltage drops 2) More stable voltage and better current flow 3) Less strain on your vehicle's charging system
iKidwell
May as well do it in 1/0 so you don't have to redo it in the future. That's just my view on it. Once you get an upgraded alt you'll have to do it in 1/0 anyways. c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress

T.A.G. Audio
Ya those kits look good but my only problem is the price. My local shop will do everything for 120 including labor. In 0 gauge stinger pro series ofc and put an in line fuse. So for the price of one of those kits I can have mine installed and all the wire and terminals payed for. 03 Ford f150 2 Sa8 v2s Ap 1800d...
