Rection Posted February 1, 2013 Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 i picked this gun up yesterday from a friend of mine that runs a pawn shop. the gun was in some seriously sad shape when i got it, so my buddy offered the hook up at $40, so i filled out the 4473 and it came home with me. my goal here was to go for that rossi "mares leg" look, and i believe that has been achieved quite well. it looks nothing like the beat up rust bucket i picked up yesterday. today ive: broke it down stripped the barrel cut the barrel refinished the barrel stripped the stock cut the stock re-stained the stock to a more natural look reassembled this little guy is gonna be my companion in the truck, in an overhead gun rack. so ill now have 5 guns riding around in the truck at all times. over prepared much? lol and yes, the gun is of legal length. Rection Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2013 thats pretty cool you can tell it was rough as hell by the receiver. the receiver on these models is color case hardened, so it is supposed to have a wild look to it. you can see some discoloration from the rust that was on there though, a little oil and some steel wool stripped the surface rust off though.
