audioman21
I was thinking about it doing sub up port back but after looking on youtube a single 15 sub back port back beats like a mofo. I'm just trying to get the most out of a setup whether it's split wattage and more surface area or more wattage to a single sub. Guess I'll have to wait for the exact car it's going in. Sh@t man I wanna do a wall with two 18"s but I like the element of suprise when you pull up and beat the hell out of the block from the trunk. Team Sundown's Charles
I have the ZX1500.1 on a 15" L7 and 2 ZX200.2 push the mids/highs. The ZX1500 is a great every day amp. I've add a 2nd battery and a cap and my volts never drops below 11.9 at full volume. If you can i would advices you to get a 1500 on two 12" L7. You will be very happy with the setup. When i get some more money i'm going to add another 1500 and change my sub to a solo-x D2 AND HAVE 1 ZX1500 ON EACH VOICE COIL AND ADD A 250 AMP ALT Quote 1993 Mazda Mx-3 Subs: 2 18" DC Audio Lvl 4 D.7 Highs amp: Sundown SAX-100.4 Sub amp: Sundown SAZ-3000D Electrical:Kinetik 1200 under hood, 2-Kinetik 2400 rear All 1/0 KnuKonceptz Wire Power/Ground, Big 3, 8Ga Speaker Wire, KnuKonceptz Karma RCA's Dampening: 120sqft 80Mil Thick Sound Destroyer Mat Goal: 150 DB 149.9 Street Bass
audioman21
I'm really liking the 2500.1 but if I don't get it it'll definately be the 1500.1. I'll prolly do a dual 12 or single 15 setup with the 1500 or a single 12, 15 with the 2500. Those are the setups I'm thinking about. Do the 1500's have 1/0 gauge inputs? audioman21
With running something like the 2500 would I need a battery in the back or would a ho alt and a 1800 or 2000 kinetic under the hood be sufficient, or would a ho alt and kinetic 800 in the trunk be better? Team Sundown's Charles
i have a stock atl and battery up front and a kintek 800 and a 6 farad cap in the rear. it seem to do the trick. if you are going to use the 2500 you could add a highout alt to your budget. the 1500 only takes a 4 ga wire. my setup is a single 15 pushed by the 1500 and its way more then a expected. i haven't put it on a meter but my last system was doing 142 and this is way louder so i'm thinking it should do about 145. i don't know what you are really tring to do but the 1500 is more then enouch amp for everyday pounding. the 2500 would be over kill. two 12's on that then i hope use are going to get some solox or something along that line. i don't think the L7 can handle that kind of power. i'm over powering my L7 with the 1500. the dealer told me i shoud have 2 15's on it but i'm hard headed...lol good luck what ever way you go. just remenber when you do your budget you as in all the little stuff you need. i went over budget by 400 buck just termial rings , wires and contactor. that little shit really adds up Quote 1993 Mazda Mx-3 Subs: 2 18" DC Audio Lvl 4 D.7 Highs amp: Sundown SAX-100.4 Sub amp: Sundown SAZ-3000D Electrical:Kinetik 1200 under hood, 2-Kinetik 2400 rear All 1/0 KnuKonceptz Wire Power/Ground, Big 3, 8Ga Speaker Wire, KnuKonceptz Karma RCA's Dampening: 120sqft 80Mil Thick Sound Destroyer Mat Goal: 150 DB 149.9 Street Bass
audioman21
If I do get the 2500 I'll prolly do a single fully loaded btl either 12 or 15, or something along the lines of that thats comparable to the btl. If its the 1500 prolly 2 12's either fi ssd's or 2 level 4 dc's. I can't afford the best but I'm buying a new peice every couple days of decent quality stuff. So far I dropped 250.00 on a bunch of Knukonceptz products, 160.00 on a Alpine 9881(I think thats the right model), another 160.00 tomorrow on a kicker 350.4. After this comes the sub amp and the 6x9's and the last thing will be subs. I'm not getting into electrical yet cause I don't know what kind of car I'll be working with yet.
