TundraFreek
What's going on? I found this site after looking at hair tricks on youtube. Needless to say there's an amazing amount of info on here. As well as appears to me good people. I'm getting ready to design a new box. I have 2 RE Audio SRX 10's and I plan on upgrading to the SE and SX series in the next year. My question is I downloaded the torres box calc and I noticed theres a gross box volume and net box volume. How much of a difference does this make? I'm aiming for a 2.0^ft3 box at 35hz. I don't necessarily want a huge box because I put my firefighting gear in my back seat of my Tundra. Thanks for being part of a bitchin site! Guest
gross is before displacements (like port, sub, bracing, etc). net is after displacements (usually the one you see people talking about when they say its 3cuft or whatever). jessdabest77
It would make a big difference on box size and tunning,if you're going ported.Gross is outside of the box and net is inside of the box.If you don't go off the net size then you're box will cange in size and what you have ti tuned at. TundraFreek
Thanks, this is the first time I've designed a box. I hate paying high prices for stuff I can do myself for half or third the cost.
jessdabest77
It is best you do it yourself if you plan on changing system's or get louder.Just do lot's of research on box building cause material's do add up quick.
