Okay thanks for the input one more question about the gains on the amp.I read somwhere in a post that the gain setting has to be prety hi for it to produce. 0n my rockford amps never had to turn them past half way can anyone shed some light on that the radio would be a pioneer 80prs and would a line driver be needed to push those amps properly.

fuck the plating. look at what the main metal used is. you could buy unicorn blood plated terminals but if its just covering up dog shit, whats the point

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

what about the gain setting on the audioque are they just as good as rockford fosgate amps

Gains are the same.. Weather you have to go 3/4ths for clean rms of the amp, or 1/2 regaurdless you'll get the rms eating out of the amp.. If I'm not mistaken the amount you have to turn the gain up depends on your h/u.

Yes it does depend on the HU. I have the 2200 and my sony cdx-gt300 hu has 2v preouts and I found with the dd-1 that it ONLY gives the 2200 a clipped signal...so time for me to upgrade.
