08tahoe
Pull the knob off and then unscrew the two little screws, and it might have a little nut inside that holds the knob part to the shell also. Once you do that you can take the whole shell off and just drill the two holes in the black plastic plug/cover, one for the knob and the other for the light if you want the light to show. I've done that before for my bass knob. Going for a visual aspect - but sort of like how Steve did the 3sixty3 knob and bass knobs in the Lexus side of of the center console? No covers, just internals. I don't remember how steve did his on his lexus, I'm going to check out his ubl right now to see. So your saying you want to keep your whole bass knob together? Rmichael91
be like me and use the cigarette lighter as a mod. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/07-08-09-10-11-CHEVY-AVEO-CENTER-CONSOLE-MANUAL-TRANSMISSION-/00/s/NDgwWDY0MA==/$(KGrHqNHJEwE88eJ1GV7BPTQcunuJg~~60_35.JPG That's what my center console looks like. I use the cigarette lighter there for my cell phone charger. The one in the dash under the radio and climate controls is for my radar, cops are pretty anal about speeding and I don't pay attention to my speedometer much. There's not a whole lot of clearance on the inside of the console. The cubby toward the ends just not reasonable. I sat for about an hour looking at different spots with the knob. bassfreake
I have an arm rest/compartment between my front seats and I stuck my bass knob on that almost hidden by the seats since I usually have my arm sitting on the armrest so that if I'm driving down the road and need to cut power quick or even just if I'm too lazy to actually turn my music down when I drive into the neighborhood (I've already been told by the guy across the street that if he hears my subs cranked again he won't hesitate to call the cops lol) so mine is all but hidden by the seat and it actually almost looks like it belongs where it is I like it. will be replacing my amp soon and will put the knob for the new amp there too Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. Rmichael91
The seat rided 3-4" higher than the console in my car. I didn't like the idea of catching on it between the two.
bassfreake
oh ok yea my center console rises up to meet level with my seat and then bumps up into an arm rest with a pocket in it Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. AMI CUSTOMS
There is a nut on the back side of that knob, should be anyway, just pull the knob off, take the two screws off the side and take it out, drill 3 holes in that place 2 for LED, 1 for the knob, re NUT and install KNOB.
