pintich
Hey, i got my new voltmeter + a switch now that i want to hook up to my amp. But i dont know exaktly how to wiring this (or i think i know but i am not 100%...) here is a pic of the both. Will it be like this? Red directly to the amp. Blue to the ON switch then from the OFF to the amp's remote/sterios remote? Black to ground on amp Am i thinking right?

Cynicalbass210
Have a switch for mine as well, but I just grounded it close to the meter instead of having to run the ground all the way to the back. 1991 Nissan PathfinderMechman 240A altAll wire 100% OFC 1/0Kenwood KDC-X497Pair of Kenwood Tweets/Pair of Rockford P1 5x7s9ft3 vented box ~32hz2 AQ HDC3 copper coil 18sSAZ-3500 @ 1ohm Powerbass ASA 200.239 sq. ft. damp pro.Kinetik 1200&2400(x2)

Wicks
You want the positive and negative sense wires connected directly to the amp (or location that you want to monitor). If the positive sense wire is on the amp and the negative is in your dash then you'd also be measuring voltage drop along your chassis which you don't want. Depending on how much current your system pulls, it may not be an issue but its always nice to be sure.
