vw passat Posted February 10, 2013 Author Report Posted February 10, 2013 im going to try CleanSierra. and my Suggested Enclosure: 4cu @ 40hz now what cu ft^3 i need to make it @ 32-33hz?
CleanSierra Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 The more airspace you add, the more port you'll have to add. Some guys just port to the SUBS requirements, not the airspace. I usually have a simple setup so I port for airspace. let me throw some numbers in.and see what I get. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

CleanSierra Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 The airspace is totally fine at 3.65 cubes for a 15" sub. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
bkolfo4 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 The more airspace you add, the more port you'll have to add. This statement is NOT true. When are people going to get away from this???? Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
CleanSierra Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 The more airspace you add, the more port you'll have to add. This statement is NOT true. When are people going to get away from this???? You were the specific person I had in mind when referring to porting for the sub/subs, no matter the airspace. I've never done a multiple sub build(over 2) so I don't have the experience. Whenever I've done a box it has been for one or two subs, and the airspace was appropriate for the amount of port. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 The more airspace you add, the more port you'll have to add. This statement is NOT true. When are people going to get away from this???? Port area per foot is important to post attention to though, wouldn't you agree? Port noise can be avoided pretty easily by having a value that makes sense. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
vw passat Posted February 10, 2013 Author Report Posted February 10, 2013 thats right CleanSierra less port area per foot it means port noise and those dimensions are great bro tx
vw passat Posted February 10, 2013 Author Report Posted February 10, 2013 now the last thing can some one make me a roughly google sketch how im going to make the ports on wich side and even the woofer because the lenght of the port is 20'' how im going to bend it?
