Smoove Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 your port area per foot should be higher. the configuration you're using is for an areo port. that numbe should be at least 9, your at 8.07 and 7.18. . What subs are you building the box for 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
bkolfo4 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 2 4" or 1 6" will work if you use aero ports. Only issue I see - when I calculate 2 4" ports in 3.5 cuft net volume, I get a length of 14.8", not 13.6 for 33 Hz tuning. And with aeros you have to add 1" to account for the end factor, so you will have to bend them. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
vw passat Posted February 10, 2013 Author Report Posted February 10, 2013 yes i need to bend them but i will work with those dimensions?
CleanSierra Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 Have you entered 3 3" aeros and seen if THAT brought your port area up? It might do the trick. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
