zaxfire69
How do you have the coils wired up? Do you have them in parallel meaning all your +postives of all your coils are hooked together and all your -negatives are hooked together? I have Fi BL 15's as well and I have mine hooked parallel and I am getting a .7 ohm on my dmm. Do you have dual 1 ohm coils or dual 2 ohm coils? I have dual 2 coils. j_black10
How do you have the coils wired up? Do you have them in series meaning all your +postives of all your coils are hooked together and all your -negatives are hooked together? Zax its parallel if all positives are hooked together and all negatives are hooked together. AudioControlRockford FosgateXSPower
TarponPride09
the subs are dual 1 ohn. each coil is wired in series (so there is 2 2ohm loads) and then the subs are wired in parallel for a 1 ohm load what do you think about the magnet theory? TarponPride09
so the fact that I have my amp grounded to the negative terminal isn't enough should I ground both batteries and the amp or just the amp? redbaron80
so the fact that I have my amp grounded to the negative terminal isn't enough should I ground both batteries and the amp or just the amp? Both my amps have seperate grounds to the chasis. Both my batteries have seperate grounds to the chasis. When I had the gargling, i had both amps grounded to the same spot with a few screws through the ring terminals with them on top of each other. Don't do that Try grounding everything tight with bolts, I know it is a pain, but then you will be safe from that noise Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. TarponPride09
so don't ground to the negative terminal. instead use a body ground and ground both bateries to the body. also should I use a common ground for the amp and kinetik or 2 separate griund locations My Myspace My 2002 Cadillac Escalade Build

Boon
Could be the output (or power supply) stage of your amp is fucked so it's only outputting half the wave... do you have any access to an oscilloscope? Otherwise hook an multimetre on AC voltage across the speaker terminals and see if it flicks between lots and 0 - if it does, amp output is probably fucked, this would also cause the gargling. 10.x volts fo' life!
