you won't need a jump start with an Optima especially with a HO alt IMO... with the experience I've had with mine.It's going on 4 years old and still works great,been completely discharged twice bcus interior lights were left on at body shop once and it was sitting at a police station for 4 months with alarm armed,gps charging and never got cranked while sitting.

for 20 bux get like 7 of them ull be fine ..i put a non vented battery in my trunk... whole trunk floor is covered in that white chalky acid that builds up around the terminals that was only a week in there.
