sweendog Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 Basically a 2 channel is like having 2 amps in one. They won't be as efficient and are usually meant to run door speakers and such.
sweendog Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 A mono block is an amp that just has one (mono) output. Mostly used for subs.

sweendog Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 An amp is only going to do what you tell it to. If you want to power 2 subs with one amp you can. You can power 10 subs with one amp, it doesn't matter. You can also wire 2 amps to a single sub. It all just depends on how you wire it. If you correctly wire an amp to 2 or more subs yes it will split the power evenly between the speakers. I guess they don't have to be for subs but I've never seen someone run a monoblock for their door. They are used for subs yes.
