M.A.R.S. Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 Please bear with me.... I am sort of putting my thoughts together as I write this. Ask if you need anything explained Car: '04 Toyota Corolla (Stock Alt. and factory located speakers) Installed currently: Pioneer DEH-4400UB H/U Pioneer GM5500T Amp (125 at 4 Ohms Stereo and 400 at 4 Ohms Bridged) Pioneer TS-W254R 10" Sub (250 RMS/ 1,100 Peak) X 2 in Q-Logic Bandpass Enclosure Socshe 4 Gauge Wiring Kit What I am thinking to get a little more power from the subs is adding on a second GM5500T and Bridging both to get the 400 out of each amp or would this be too much? I know that a bigger amp than smaller is what I have always been told but to just be carful. Also come the spring I am planning on doing the Big 3 upgrade from CE Auto Electric Supply and add an extra battery from either Stinger, XS or Kinetik. What size would I need battery for the trunk and what size cables to go from the front to back for the Posative and the Negative cables? (Thinking 1/0 AWG for everything) Any advise would be great.... Thanks '04 Toyota Corolla Currently Installed: Pioneer DEH-P4400UB Pioneer GM-5500T X 1 Pioneer TS0W254R X 2 Q-Logic Bandpass Enclosure Blue LED Front Underdash Lighting Future Upgrades: Pioneer DVD H/U Big 3 Main Battery plus Extra in Trunk Cap

M.A.R.S. Posted February 17, 2013 Author Report Posted February 17, 2013 It is a 2 Channel. 125 at 4 Ohms each '04 Toyota Corolla Currently Installed: Pioneer DEH-P4400UB Pioneer GM-5500T X 1 Pioneer TS0W254R X 2 Q-Logic Bandpass Enclosure Blue LED Front Underdash Lighting Future Upgrades: Pioneer DVD H/U Big 3 Main Battery plus Extra in Trunk Cap
M.A.R.S. Posted February 17, 2013 Author Report Posted February 17, 2013 Also just as a heads up. I have decieded since I listen to just about everything and not just rap/ bass/ hip hop that maybe I don't have the right box. So I went to RE Audio Box Calculator and this is what I am going to be building as well.... Box With: 26" Box Height: 14" Box Top Depth: 16" Box Bottom Depth: 16" Wood Thickness: .75 Square Port Width : 1" Square Port Width 1: 14.25" Square Port Width 2: 16" Box Volume (Ft3): 2.322 Tuned Frequency (Fb): 20.23 Speakers volume is 0.62 to 1.25 so for 2 the total is 2.50 using 1.25 so I figure I am right on point... Let me know if I should correct anything... The next nice day without snow I am going to make sure it fits. It should since it is taller but the same depth I have now.... Mobileaudio25 Posted February 18, 2013 Report Posted February 18, 2013 2 things. DON'T use re box calc, it's incorrect. And 20hz is too low, tune about 34-35 hz for all around music
M.A.R.S. Posted February 18, 2013 Author Report Posted February 18, 2013 I have never built a box before so how do I figure out everything then???
