I have a 2005 ford escape, up front I'm running a mechman 240 with the big 3 done with all knu 1/0 ofc. Xs 3400. 1/0 knu to a single aq2200 amp pushing an Orion hcca 15.2. In a box built to Orion specs. I have the amp half way and the other settings at their recommended places. Simple rockford door speakers without an amp. My hu is a jvc kdt. My concern is clipping and sub smell at half volume. Any ideas on how to get more sound and push the sub hard without these issues? Do I need more batteries? Different box? Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

08tahoe Posted February 18, 2013 Report Posted February 18, 2013 You need to set your system up with an oscope or a dd-1 so that way you know your not clipping. How is your voltage?
Bryan Wisniewski Posted February 18, 2013 Author Report Posted February 18, 2013 Yeah I've called around and no one has one here where I live. A dd1 is also a good option. Voltage is around 12.5 when it's running hard at idle Sub is about 6 mths old
08tahoe Posted February 18, 2013 Report Posted February 18, 2013 If your clipping it can also be causing some of your voltage drop but I would still recommend 1 d3100.
