Mikey Bates
I'm going to be rubbings 2 pwx 6.5s and a ft1 tweet off one channel. The tweet I'm just going to use the crossover crescendo has, but I need something's for mids. Basically the same as crescendo but low pass not high pass. Suggestions? Bump4life
you can buy or make them. personally i would not run tweeter and 2 woofers off of same channel unless you are going to buy/make a complex crossover with a filter, zobel circuit and L-Pad which you probably dont know how to do. but a basic 12 db per octave passive cross over for your woofers consists of a capacitor and inductor. just can get expensive depending on how much power you are running and impedence you are wiring to Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. skittlesRgood
I suggest that this is a terrible idea. too many different components on one channel. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. Mikey Bates
Ok, any other suggestions? I have 4 pwx 6.5s 8ohm coming in and two ft1s also 8ohm. All going to be in a c1100.4. But I wanted to add more speakers when the funding comes
mrd6
I would suggest running them all off that crescendo for the time being. Parallel the pairs of mids one pair per channel and then a single tweet on each of the remaining channels. That should get damn loud to the point where your substage might not be able to keep up (depending on your definition of keep up). Then use the crossovers on your amp/hu/processor etc if they are good enough for the range you need. If not, then go back and create a simple crossover for each mid like Bump4life was talking about. Then, if that still isnt loud enough you can explore new options. Running passive sets like that with two mids and a tweet to one channel is very common in the home audio industry but usually requires extensive designing of these crossovers including alot of trial and error to get things right. Something you do not want to try to do lol. My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
Benjamin Amparo
you can try something like this :http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=260-144 its a 2 was passive crossover for 8ohm tweet and either 8ohm or 4 ohm mids. you can put it on 4 ohm and run the mids parallel 97 Lexus ES 300 Source: clarion cs702 Front stage: faital pro 6fe200, seas prestige 27tafnc/g Subs: soundqubed hds212 x2 Amp: mids and highs PPI P900.4. subs Alpine MRP-M850

mrd6
The other problem with those premade units is that they are designed to present an 8 ohm load to the amp. If it doesnt blow up it is going to be very quiet seeing as your amp wont be making much power at all and splitting it among three different coils My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
Benjamin Amparo
i seen someone suggest that on another forum and thought it seemed okay, apparently not. sorry for my audio ignorance im still learning alot myself 97 Lexus ES 300 Source: clarion cs702 Front stage: faital pro 6fe200, seas prestige 27tafnc/g Subs: soundqubed hds212 x2 Amp: mids and highs PPI P900.4. subs Alpine MRP-M850
Bump4life
i seen someone suggest that on another forum and thought it seemed okay, apparently not. sorry for my audio ignorance im still learning alot myself no worries man. not everything you read on any forum is true. i will say that the ones you suggested would prolly work but after a while they wouldnt handle the abuse. second, those arent the best option. tweets and woofers should be run on seperate channels Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
