Chevy C10 Question!!!!

Hey I am New to this site and I have been floating around the forums and reading as much as I can. I currently have a 78 Chevy C10 and there is not much room for a big system but I still want it to sound good and have a some bass but right now it sounds like crap to me so I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what they think I should change or add. I will post some pics of the truck and here is a list of what is in it now:

Alpine CDA 9884 Head unit

JL Audio 500/5

8" Kicker Comps

6x9 Infinity

6 1/2 Infinity

I am open to building some crazy door panels but I know I will need to add a amp and not sure if I should switch all the system.

My Background is mainly Body and paint & Metal Fab. but I am to cheap to pay someone to work on my ride so it is all owner built.

Nice truck, I sold my 79 C10 last summer. To make room for some bass I got the buckets out of an 85 blazer and removed the bench. Going to buckets created a good amount of space.

I Know alot of people on this site are mainly interested in huge systems and the high end audio but what is a good brand of mids and highs that you would run if you weren't running crazy power. I was using Infinity, but also the Rockford Fosgate punch series look good also....any suggestions?

I am a Fosgate fan boy. My plan for the truck before I sold it was Alpine components with a Fosgate P2 10" sub with fosgate amps. Infinity compnents aren't bad, I run a set in my Z. Your system doesn't need to be built to impress others, it only needs to impress you.
