Just run one wire to the headunit and then where you want a toggle switch wire it into the wire and there you go. I did that in my car. No need for two wires just one will work with a switch

I dont know if thats possible but what I would think is that you can run one wire from the REM on the HU to a switch, and the out to the amp. Therefor you should have power controll if thats what your looking for..

EDIT:White boi beet me to it

are you just trying to put a power on/off switch on the remote wire?

Yea. But now that i think about it i have a ATT button so i guess just mute it. No real need i guess

Just mute on the headunit doesn't turn the amp off if your wanting to turn the amp off like I do sometime's you will need a switch for that.

still helpful, say if somethin starts acting up back there and you are on the road and need to cut the power in a hurry, just hit the switch. i have one going to both my amps just in case of an emergency...never hurts :)

Hmm yea...

I dunno i dont want to take my HU out cuz i really fucked my install kit up when i put my HU in.

So what could i do.

Could i just strip a piece of the REM wire off connect another piece to it for the remote shut off?

>.<

Ok ill tell you how I did mines

You get wire taps that pinch the wire and so you get a connection and then mount your switch to where it needs to be and just use speaker wire and go to the wire tap on the remote wire, I can get pics of how I did mines if you would like?
