Whats up guys. My hdc3 15 came in today. It will be on a crescendo bc2k. Im trying to decide on a box. It will be in a 99 honda accord. I have done some searching and I see they like 36hrtz. Should I do 3 or 3.5 cuft. I know a lot of people on here have experience with this sub so any input is welcome. Help me chose guys.

Around 4 cubes net, 64 square inches of port 35-40Hz tuning, should not be installed facing up so you will need 16.5h, if you want the box drawn for you post your max dimensions and amp you are using.

35 wide 17deep 17.5 tall is the max that trunk can fit from what I have found on the forums. That comes to almost 5cuft. I dont think I woukd need that big for a single 15 though.

Ok so here is a suggestion, 1500W of RMS power:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 36 Hz
Vb = 4 ft^3

External Height = 17 in
External Width = 34 in
External Depth = 20.5 in

Port Width = 4 1/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 34 x 17

Left & Right Sides = 18 1/4 x 15 1/2

Top & Bottom = 34 x 18 1/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 14 x 15 1/2
Extension = 5 x 15 1/2

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

Important notes:

- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.

- All trunk boxes built outside the car need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- The port needs 4 1/4" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.

Wow that was pretty quick thanks a lot man. My bc2k is 2k rms. Does that change the box any? With the 45s do they make that much of a difference? I dont really have access to a table saw but if it makes a big difference im sure I can get ahold of one.

I spec conservatively, but no, it will work with your amp without any changes, you can have your cuts done at Home Depot and do the port and the sub cutout with a jigsaw.

Ok cool. Thanks man I was going to have somebody build it for me but I think I will give it a try. I just talked to a friend and I can get a table saw. What do you use to seal up the corners just a good silicon caulk?
