2011 Jeep + 8 Sundown 8's + 450.1 (Subs in and movin page 4)

i think you need 2 more batteries too.. 1 D3100 is not enough for a 5k amp

I originally built it for a class that only allowed 1 second battery, but I'm just gonna get another or two 3100's when I find an alternator and just bass brawl it. That's why I wanna get another 450.1 for 'em.

One burp at 45hz at low volume (Can't really make too much noise, neighbors will flip shit) did a 41.9 Dropped the freq to 39hz and gained like a mofo. That was my main goal. Be loud under 40Hz. Maybe later I can get to a less populated area and see what happens when I get to turn it up.

That looks sick, more vids!

The spot with least resistance LOL.

I would ground to a rubber dildo if it had less resistance than a run of 4/0 wiring.

how many poeple work there 3 or 4 lol

At crescendo HQ? probably 2-3

At the sweatshop in china? 30,000 children

No Engine

I moved the box 2" (and I mean literally 2-2.5") foward and it made an unbelieveable difference..

So just a quick few tones to see what she does on a single d3100.

Moved the box forward 2-2.5"

Cranked the deck. No, it doesn't clip..

All under 40Hz and the gain has yet to be touched since it went in. I'm happy thus far. I need more juice. :(

And while I was out, a buddy wanted to compare this with the TL. It was spot on.. So I took a quick vid of his truck on music. A couple RE MX 12's in a 4th order blow-thru on a DC 3.5k at 1/2 ohm. This thing digs for two 12's..

Jeasus 8's doing 140s. How low do they play . Im torn between doing a bunch of 8's in a 4th in the blazee im gettin or just 2 15s

Just go with a couple 15's. Much more practical. Less headache.

I added the inside flares and put another dowel to brace the box a bit more.

Gained a fair amount for free and dropped 2hz in doing so. Still haven't played with the gains. :)

  • 1 year later...

Voltage drops quite a bit with the stock alt, I gotta get that swapped out as soon as someone can make me one. Then they'll get another 450.1 :)
