Peyton Cole
After consistently changing my system I finnaly got it how I want and now it's time to build my first box I've google searched and read thru a few threads and haven't found much out what I want to know is what's a good box design for 2sa15s that can fit n the trunk of a smaller car hyundai xg350 to be exact so the trunk is slightly larger then the trunk of an accord or any foreign car like that Team CNGraphix 2013 sonata Dc power 320 alt 3 kinetik 3 shuriken All knue and sky high wiring Dd m3b x2 Rockford 1000-4 2 fi sp4 18 4 vo 6.5 4 nendo pwx8 6soundqubed tweets 2 b1 tweets Pioneer avh4500 hu
Noel989
15s usually take about 3 cubic feet So you'll need 6 cubic feet internally plus wood displacement sub displacement and port What's you max dimensions so someone coould help you design a box And what amp will you be using to power them Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/
Krakin
You can use torres to calculate box dimensions. It is pretty complicated the first time, but after you mess with it a while it becomes easy to work. I'll give you my 2 cents on a design in a bit after I mess around with it a bit. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Krakin
If what you posted is your max dimensions then that is just over enough room for 1 sub. Recommended 3.5 cubes ported / 2.5 sealed. Krakin
Fixed You get 5.33 cubes without bracing and single baffle. Idk how these sub act with less air space so might want to see what some one with experience with them says. Krakin
Noob question would sealed sound better then ported prefab? I'm going for spl Ported will be louder and sealed will have better sound quality. Krakin
Custom boxes will 95% of the time sound better than prefab. The prefab was probably tuned to <40hz so it couldn't hit the lows in some rap songs for example. If you want you could just build both type of boxes and see what you like better. If you go ported I would recommend trying to find as much space as you can for the box. Krakin
If I built like that where would I put the port? gimme a second and I'll make a quick sketch Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?
