gm cs130 too ad244 alternator

Ive been needing a bigger alternator stock on blazer is 105amps lol and just with my rockford fosgate 8002 its 120amps and when I have system full tilt it is horrible voltage drop at idle. Has anyone done the ad244 its a 145amp alternator and is stock on some chevy trucks so Im hopeing for the money its worth it and is the cheapest and best I can get for now.. Im wanting too add a 4channel amp but scared too becouse of the stock alt. I wish i had money for a mechman but dont so I gotta do something else, has anyone done this swap before and could tell me how it did for them

Yes it should fit no issues Find out if a DR44 case will fit ( large case GM alt)

its a 97 blazer 4dr with stock 105a alternator located on passenger side. Ive did 2gauge wireing from alternator too battery and 2gauge from alternator bolt on bracket too battery and one more 2gauge too my chassis where the horn is on the side of battery in fenderwell.. Im plannin too do a nice system indash touchscreen pioneer with jl components front and rear with 150x4rms amp and four 12"s ported with two amps doing 1500rms each at 2ohms, Im thinking it be decently loud and its just for myself not trying too make myself be heard or anything like that i love the feeling of heavy bass and crystal clear highs

He might have to drill out a small part of his current bracket. My truck had a cs130 and I had to modify the mounting ear on the bracket because the ad244 case/bolts are slightly wider than the cs130.

So you dont want to be heard but you plan on running 3k rms for subs ?? riiiiight. A stoker ad244 is definately a step up from for 105 but IMO isnt enough for what you are trying to do. Don't waste your money on almost enough, save up and get what you need to make the power you want.
