Silverado Reg. cab box for SA 8v2

I am new to the forum and wondering if you guys could help me out. i have a SA8v2 which i plan on feeding it 500-600 watts. i want to build a box in the area of the center seat and be able to mount the fold up console to it to make it look factory. i was thinking sub and port facing the rear i would make sure there is a least 6" clearance to not cause a loading issue. max dimensions are 14w x 10t x 30d. i have played with torres a bit and have come up with this 14w x 10t x 24d. port 1.5w x 8.5t x 27L net vol. .92ft3 tuned to 35hz. any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!

Have you considered down firing? So that you could turn it into an actual seat too? Port back.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

I designed a rear firing 4th order for s fellow member did the same truck, same location, same sub, and same power. All it takes is a little over a cube of airspace for the whole setup ;)

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I just made a design using torres and sketchup but i think my port measurments are off. not 100% sure how to post the pictures is there a post i can follow? how did the 4th order sound? do you have a drawing?

To post a picture you need to upload it to a photo hosting site like Facebook, Photobucket, ect. And then right click and "Copy URL" then click the images on the editor here and paste the URL.

I'm not sure how it sounded, the guy never gave me a video. I suspect it sounded great, those little beasts get DOWN. I could figure out the design, I may have it saved somewhere

I personally just use Facebook and turn the privacy to "Only Me", so that I don't annoy my friends with pictures.
