eq mount...

got my self a clarion 746.

gana look nasty with blue volt meter blue hu and blue leds =]

gana put it up in this center dash.. no other place to put it really got a double din..

got a cut out.

so thinking of using 1/4 wood and layer it with bondo and sand it off and paint it to match the dash and make a flush mount and mount the eq on top like this

anyone got any tips on hiding wiring.. not to big a deal it wont be much anyway look at the pic

Have you thought about hiding all but the face of he eq in that same spot?

Fab a meal bracket to secure it to the wood maybe?

the curving in the dash is really difficult to work with im not trying to glass.. only 17 low on skill but ill look at it agian the eq doesnt really fit in the dash so its quite difficult im pretty close to calling it and just placing it between my seat and center dash lol

If you want to mount it as you drew up, but want to hide the wires, fab a piece that fits over the top and wraps around the sides and back of the eq, leave room for the wires of course and just make sure it sits flush on the dash so it looks clean.
