mxfreak22 Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Looking for suggestions on wat kinda system to fit behind the seat and be pretty loud on a budget. Was thinking on some sundown shallow mount 12s i found on the net and a 1500 watt audiopipe d class mono block amp. Looking for other suggestions on subs amps and enclosures to get good results. any help is appreciated. im pretty dead set on 12 inch subs
Krakin Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 On most single cab trucks you can really only comfortably fit 8"-10" subs behind the seats. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
saltylake Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 i have two jbl 12's in my s10 in a sealed box 1.2 cubes each, tickles your ear drums quite a bit
Krakin Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Yeah sealed is a different story. I also fit one JBL P1220d comfortably in a sealed box behind my passenger seat. Also possible to put in a single 12 ported I guess. It's such a migraine trying to work with single cabs... DubNBass Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 go ported, whatever you pick. my 2 cents .
afrakes Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 IMHO I would try to port 2 sa 8s. Even though u would have less cone area, that's a beastly 8 that could fit ported, take power, get loud, and most importantly, get lowwwww.
