CJSmith
What's the pro/con for going component vs a midbass and tweet in the front? is it the same? I know.. retarded noob question. The component sets come with crossovers, when you buy midbass and tweets, you have to buy, make, or set your amp to the proper setting for your mids and highs. IMO, the component tweets are alot weaker and easier to blow than super tweets. Some people think components have more sound quality, while midbass and super tweets will give you more mid range bass and alot more sound. *Rebuid in progress*
Nates_Veloster
Gotcha. I have a massive 7 crossover now that runs everything. I am feeling comp up front (decent set that can handle this 175) and some midbass in rear. I know the rear won't matter near as much as the front. I like all the suggestions, so keep them coming. I also have some of these that are offered for $100 that I am looking at used: http://www.woofersetc.com/p-6649-d662s-diamond-audio-65-2-way-150w-component-speaker-system.aspx Fi/DC/SHCA/SMD fanaticSome people talk about changing the world, others of us actually do it.Violet's Build:Dynomat Xtreme deadener (all doors and trunk)(2) RF 200w circuit breakerRF RCA'sVM-1 1/0 gauge welding leadBig 3 Singer Hairpin Alt (blue)7" touch screen HU (factory)Diamond tweets Mids (front) RF 6.5Mids (rear) CVL64MBX Massive 7 band EQ/Xover/line driverSky High 12 g wire & heat shrink for 1/0 gDB Link/Sky High Ring Terminals2 - Fi BL 12'sPorted box tuned to 32 DC 175.4DC 2kD2700 and XP950 XS BatteriesProject DB connectors/step downsDD-

bcbrassard
I run T2s in the front & Back and you can pick them up for about $180. I have a T400-4 running each set and they are still under powered but get really loud and stay really clear active off the DEH-80PRS. Lots of good speakers to choose from. Definately do front stage first and sound deaden the shit out of your doors for best SQ!
