berard_ty
I just bought 2 powerbass 3xl 15s . I'm putting in a 2009 f250 crewcab kingranch 4x4 . I've read that the tuning amd box spec is wronge for the speakers . It's showing 4.5 cubic feet per speaker of airspace and a port tuning of 23hrtz. I am putting 2l1500 lunar amps on them running 1/2 ohm . I want to maximize the spl (db's) and not tune so low that the speaker sounds like crap . I haven't herd the pb 3xl 15s yet . So any input on bass quality and slp from speaker would be helpfull .

soundstream15
Hmm..I looked online an seen nothing about 23hz Doesn't sound right to me. I just never heard of a sub wanted that low of a tuning.
berard_ty
so if a sub take 4.5 feet of air space single then does the airspace lower if shared by second sub . Also what ported box would most utilize the subs . I should have no issues with voltage i have 2 huge batteries and a 20 farad cap . i have 55 inches hight 6 feet wide and 40 inches deep to work with
soundstream15
That 20farad cap is not doing anything for you. Personally I would tune your box to 30hz instead of 23hz but i find that to low. Got any pics or anything?
8ight
With the wacky specs you are getting it sounds like you are relying on the recommendations of modeling software. Use recommended specs from Powerbass. I'm gonna hate
berard_ty
Sorry fb tuning of 30hrz and now it's 5 feet of air space per speaker. Anyone got any input on what designed ported box I should build ?
