Hertz_dont_it Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 i recently (4 days ago) bought a precision power amp from sonic electronix, its the 650.1 which is 650w rms at 1ohm. i have two 10" dual 4ohm rockford fosgate p3s's and i have them wired down to one ohm. i did it exactly as it said on the12volt i checked it three different times to make sure. but there is hardly any sound output from the amp.. i had to crank the gain and bass boost up to hear anything so i turned it back down and its just sitting right now. my last amp was only 600w max at 1ohm and it made those subs bang so i was expecting to hook this amp up and be thrilled but no.. i checked the rca's at the amp and even switched them but nothin.. im not sure whats wrong. if anyone could help it'd be appreciated. thanks Current system:Front stage: Alpine type s 6.5No rear:Alpine type s 6.5headunit: alpineAmp: Jbl bp600.1 Sub: Alpine type x 12 dont know much about them. If I add this to my system, can I really travel into the future? And how far into the future? If you turn it up too high, you will quiet down the higher ones too and lose output. If you turn it up too high, you will quiet down the higher ones too and lose output. Hertz_dont_it Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 4.2 on the speaker output and i dont know the frequency it was like 44 or 45 or something it was a decaf song and it was the same note the whole time. and it's quiet until i have the gain and bass boost up all the way. even at 3/4 gain and 1/2 bass boost it hard to hear at 35/50 volume which is what i normally have it at. when i just tested it i had the gain all the way down, same as bass boost, and subsonic. low pass was at 80 and i had the head unit turned all the way up Current system:Front stage: Alpine type s 6.5No rear:Alpine type s 6.5headunit: alpineAmp: Jbl bp600.1 Sub: Alpine type x 12 dont know much about them.
