Dan Czerwinski Posted March 24, 2013 Author Report Posted March 24, 2013 Oh I replaced the stock terminal with a rockford 2zero 2fo ur/eight guage terminal. Just need to add more wire. I need like 2 inches.
WastedTalent Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 If it fit stock, how won't it fit now? Just sayin... Sheena = pedobear
Trey_Dog650 Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 Yup remove rf terminal and solder on more wire. Only thing I can think of is bigger batt 13 Kia Forte Build! 07 Hyundai Accent Build ***Super Seller*** N8ball2013 And then he gets to say ok all you guys were right. im sorry for being a dummy poo poo head.
Dan Czerwinski Posted March 25, 2013 Author Report Posted March 25, 2013 It didnt really fit stock I had bad corrosion about 6 months ago that ate away the stock terminal and about ab inch of wire. I replaced the terminal and streched the wire. Now I put the rf terminal on and it barely reaches that. So ill get solder and a torch and get some four guage wire and extend it a few inches and see if I can get it to fit in the terminal otherwise ill use eight guage. Then I should be ok. You think ifbi were to replace that id just have to put it to the starter and fuse box?
WastedTalent Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 If I were you, I'd make it 100% factory again. Get some 4 gauge or whatever gauge it is for factory and make it all stock/factory again. Then do the big 3 leaving the original wiring there with it. Sheena = pedobear

I've been lurking on these forums for awhile, learning all I can. That's one thing I've learned. You don't mess with the factory wiring when doing big 3. You just add to it. So if any problems do arise? You remove the wire you added since you didn't and shouldn't modify the factory wire at all. The factory wire will work. So glad I've learned at least that, eh? Lmfao. But truly to the OP, make it as factory as you can. I wouldn't even extend that factory wire by adding onto it. I'd remove that and get factory sized wire (4 gauge or whatever) then replace that wire since it's too short. Make it 100% factory. Then do your big 3 again, leaving those factory wires in place. Shouldn't really be a problem leaving those wires, as you can just zip tie it basically every so often to keep it together as 1 wire, as long as they both fit. Sheena = pedobear

About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
Dan Czerwinski Posted March 25, 2013 Author Report Posted March 25, 2013 Thanks guys been a huge and great help. Im going to take a look at some sites for the stock wire to eeplace it instead of adding onto it. If its too mucb work ill add in. But all is good and jothing is spiking my volts. Thank you!
Dan Czerwinski Posted March 25, 2013 Author Report Posted March 25, 2013 Has anyone gad a problem with clipping in tge speakers after doing the big three? I havecthis ni m as tter how I tune the head unit. I havevit tuned exactly how I did before and I have clipping at 35 and I used to be able to turn it up to 50. U think its because those stock wires are shitty and not fully connected to the terminal? Im thinking thats probably the cause since ive checked tunxing and all my wires in the cabin. Although nothing has changed....
