knubs Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 I just recently started a build and to my dismay i have some noise. I have recently ran a new wire from the ignition to my head unit and routed the ground to one of my batteries. I still have issues. turn on/off thump alternator whine and when the car is off i have some static. also i can hear my door chime faintly and when i throw on my turn signal heat or headlights more noise is introduced. I am using... pioneer Avic x910bt (used in previous build and did not have to ground RCA outputs) Soundstream RUB 5.400 (also used in last build) Hifonics BRZ 2100.1(and also used in last build , upgrading soon lol) 3 shuriken bt120's ect. ect. I have check every terminal and ground, everything is tight Thanks for your help! if you can hear your door chime with the turn signal i'd say you messed something up when you ran the ignition wire to the head unit. where did you find the ignition wire you tied into? what color was it? and why did you have to run a new wire??
