Well, i would do like kranny said, double check wiring. Compare the terminals on both subs too, It does happen sometimes that a "+" and "-" get miss labeled.

Also, we are still waiting on pics.

im not sure what the gains are set at exactly, I played with them so much yesterday to try and fix the issue. and right now it is only single layered but will be adding another layer of 3/4 mdf along with 1x1 bracing and possibly glassing the inside as well. I just cant picture a little flex and a few small leaks making it sound this bad

Well, i had 2 12's in a box on like 300, single layer and it was a sealed enclosure. The baffle and rear board flex was bad enough it sounded like crap crap crap.Put a brace in the center, and bam, i had decent bass. You are throwing a lot more power, and a hell of a lot more cone area and motor force.

I can't imagine a box that big, single layered with no bracing would not flex like crazy.

If you did indeed build to those specs, you should be ok, but you really need to brace that thing up. Of course i am only guessing because of course i am not there seeing what is exactly going on. Like kranny and others have said, wiring, leaks, port placement, box placement, gains, crossover settings or a million other things could be wrong too.

Wow, i tend to ramble.

here are pics of the box as it sits now. its a little lopsided because I still have to notch out a tunnel to fit the wheel well. please excuse the disorganization. its all just for testing at the moment.
