Terry Gray Jr
I drive a Ford Focus 2012 Sedan and I am trying to see if I can fit 3 12s or 2 15s (both sundown sa) in my trunk. I have about 2200 watts rms that i will put to them and I want to be able to tune it low for music not SPL. I have a z v3 15 in a 3ft^3 tuned to 33hz right now with the 2200 watts but want more cone area. The biggest enslosure I can fit would be 13.5" Height, 30" Wide and 28" Deep. Thanks for the help. Terry Gray Jr
Forgot to add that the subs would have to face up and the port either to the back or side. Thanks again
Ben Fultz
Without taking sub displacement, port volume or any bracing into account, those dimensions give you around 5.25 cubes. Sundown recommends 3 SA 12's have 1.5 - 2.0 cubes per, and 2 SA 15's 3.0 - 4.0 cubes per. So you would need 4.5- 6.0 cubes for 3-12's or 6.0 - 8.0 cubes for 2-15's. Omega5002
You can barely fit 2 12's, best I got from your dimensions is 3.8 cu ft, 32hz with 12.6 per cube after all displacements after doing a quick torres calculationAnother problem with your dimensions, you don't have enough height for 15's, so you would have to have subs firing up as well. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
