That's how 99.9% of companies do it, very few figure warranty length from date product was replaced/repaired. If they did that in theory warranty would never run out.

Flared ports cut down the turbulence at the opening, and drastically reduces the potential for port noise.

Depending on what coil configuration you ordered and what your final ohm load is, should be fine. Especially when you take into account box rise, voltage drop ect. you probably won't be seeing "true" 6500 watts anyways.
