Joshex
Alright guys, I'm going to be building a new box shortly and have a quick question about it. I'm going to be running my 2 12" Rockford P3s in my Civic with a sound deadened trunk. Now the question I have is, would it be ok to have my subs facing upward and port firing forward? Are there any negative consequences to this, if so should I just put both port and sub firing forward? 95 Acura Integra - 5-speedNFG Pioneer FH-X700BT(2) Rockford Fosgate 12" P3AQ1200dRockford Fosgate P1652-S 6.5" components Rockford Fosgate P1572 5x7"Rockford Fosgate R400.4 95 Integra Build Here93 EJ2 Build Here
MrEwubbsZ
I don't know why it would hurt anything. Try it. If you don't like it build a different box 2000 Ranger Build Log
Joshex
I don't know why it would hurt anything. Try it. If you don't like it build a different box I figured it wouldn't hurt much, but I've heard rumors not to do it. I would build a couple boxes if I could, but I'm a typical broke student. ha 95 Acura Integra - 5-speedNFG Pioneer FH-X700BT(2) Rockford Fosgate 12" P3AQ1200dRockford Fosgate P1652-S 6.5" components Rockford Fosgate P1572 5x7"Rockford Fosgate R400.4 95 Integra Build Here93 EJ2 Build Here
03 Xtreme Fosgate
you could try it but being that they're in a trunk I would fire them forward along with port. Prob be much better output and cleaner sound.. Joshex
I was going to do it up, but I'm having second thought since there isn't really any benefit. Thanks for the input guys. 95 Acura Integra - 5-speedNFG Pioneer FH-X700BT(2) Rockford Fosgate 12" P3AQ1200dRockford Fosgate P1652-S 6.5" components Rockford Fosgate P1572 5x7"Rockford Fosgate R400.4 95 Integra Build Here93 EJ2 Build Here
03 Xtreme Fosgate
I mean forward as in firing towards back of the trunk, much better output when they fire off the rear trunk wall. Just make sure you deaden the heck out of it. I hear cars all the time that have no deadening in them and just sounds like crap IMO. Nobody wants to hear all that rattle BUILD LOG-http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179004-03-s10-xtreme-ext-cab-rf-build/ PHOTOBUCKET- http://s1354.beta.photobucket.com/user/03XtremeFosgate/library/truck%20audio%20rebuild

Nobody wants to hear all that rattleWell, I've tried both ways and I personally like firing towards the cab with my seats down. I need to do a bit more deadning, but my trunk hardly rattles. I'm eventually going to do a trunk seal, just money issues. 95 Acura Integra - 5-speedNFG Pioneer FH-X700BT(2) Rockford Fosgate 12" P3AQ1200dRockford Fosgate P1652-S 6.5" components Rockford Fosgate P1572 5x7"Rockford Fosgate R400.4 95 Integra Build Here93 EJ2 Build Here
